Responsibilities:
- GST Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all GST returns and forms.
- Monitor and manage GST compliance processes to ensure adherence to
- statutory requirements.
- Tax Planning and Advisory:
- Provide strategic tax planning advice to clients to optimize their GST liability. o Advise on GST implications for various business transactions and structures.
- Handling Complex GST Issues:
- Resolve complex GST issues and disputes, including liaising with tax authorities. o Represent clients in GST audits, investigations, and assessments.
- Policy and Procedures Development:
- Develop and implement GST policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Stay updated with changes in GST laws and regulations, and update the firm’s practices accordingly.
- Litigation:
- Handle GST-related litigation, representing clients before tax authoritiestribunals, and courts.
- Prepare and present legal arguments, evidence, and documentation for GST cases.
- Develop strategies to resolve disputes favorably and efficiently.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing them with high-quality GST advisory services.
- Conduct regular client meetings to discuss their GST needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of GST professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to keep the team updated with the latest GST developments.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate GST-related risks for clients and the firm.
- Ensure robust internal controls are in place to manage GST compliance risk.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in GST practice, with a strong track record in handling all
aspects of GST. - In-depth knowledge of GST laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in tax planning and advisory for GST.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex GST issues.
- Excellent client management and relationship-building skills.
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to stay updated with the latest developments in GST and adapt to changes effectively.
